The Senior Corporate Counsel, PHI and RA, will serve as the primary compliance advisor to provide proactive risk identification and management support for the global Patient and Health Impact organization, including support for the PHI LT. PHI is focused on patient access and pricing and plays a pivotal role in driving the strategy to deliver on Pfizer's Bold Moves. The role will support these key strategic initiatives to assess and mitigate risks. The role will also support the Compliance Division's Risk Assessment initiatives.The role requires an experienced strategic decision-maker, with the ability to simplify complex issues and design and execute new strategies. The candidate must have a broad-based expertise in compliance, a high-level of business knowledge of the industry, global markets, and regulatory expectations, as well as anticipate external environment and corporate shifts to advise on a comprehensive risk management process. In all capacities, the position will partner closely with other functions within Compliance (e.g., Risk Assessment, Monitoring, Regional/Cluster/Country Compliance) and outside Compliance (e.g., Legal, Corporate Affairs).ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESKey PHI responsibilities include:* Promote a culture of integrity and provide strategic risk identification and management support to PHI leaders and the global organization* Provide compliance guidance in connection with execution of the Bold Moves and coordinate with local and regional compliance and legal stakeholders* Develop thoughtful solutions to key initiatives, taking into account current legal and regulatory landscapes, Pfizer policies and procedures, and current/future needs of business and other stakeholders.* Develop training materials tailored for PHI scope of responsibilities* Work with the Global Investigations group to manage and understand the docket of compliance investigations, communicate findings to leadership, and help manage remediation effortsKey RA responsibilities will include:* Support expansion and evolution of the Global Risk Assessment Program* Develop tools, materials and trainings to ensure the consistent and optimal execution of global risk assessments* Guide and support RCLs in the execution of Market Risk Assessments; lead select, higher risk Market Risk Assessments* Engage regularly with senior stakeholders to ensure commitment to risk assessment process* Coordinate across relevant cross-functional teams to set strategic goals and objectives and identify opportunities to simplifyBASIC QUALIFICATIONS* Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.* Legal/J.D. and 10+ years practicing law, experience in the pharmaceutical/ healthcare industry* Broad knowledge-base and extensive subject matter expertise to rapidly identify potential issues and advise on effective solutions; strong business and big picture acumen* High degree of organizational awareness, ability to manage across the matrix and work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders* Maturity and competence to simplify complexities, drive major initiatives, and proactively identify risks and opportunities supporting the Division's key objectives* Excellent communications skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts in ways that are understood and actionable by cross-functional teams* Ability to translate complex requirements to practical suggestions and real world solutions* Expertise to effectively convey compliance principles to non-legal and non-compliance colleagues* Ability to effectively facilitate and manage meetings and complex, strategic conversations* Strong presentation skills involving audiences with various backgrounds, and ability to adjust message and filter details based on audienceSunshine ActPfizer reports payments and other transfers of value to health care providers as required by federal and state transparency laws and implementing regulations.
